Volunteers
The Sacramento Valley Museum runs with the help of faithful volunteers. New volunteers are always welcome and there are many projects that meet a wide variety of skill sets. Projects include, but are not limited to:
General Operations:
Front door docents (includes conducting tours), some building maintenance (changing lightbulbs, etc.), light housekeeping.
Exhibits:
Inventory of current exhibits, assisting with creation of new exhibits, research for labels on current exhibits, dusting and maintenance of current exhibits.
Reading Room and Archive:
Processing and cataloguing collections, scanning and entering photographs into database, preventive conservation of collections.
Special Events:
Assisting Museum Director with planning and staffing special events as needed.
