~ Special Projects
*With the aid of the Historical Records Commission, AgriSource and numerous volunteers, the SVM has obtained the Colusa County Record Books dating back to the late 1800's. The books, along with select volumes of local newspapers and the Sacramento Record Union are shelved in our Reading and Research Room. We hope to have organization of the room ready for public access soon.
*The Glenn Valley School House restoration project is coming along. The exterior has been completely renovated and the interior is nearly finished. We are in need of a few items to enhance our living history exhibit; antique school desks, McGuffey Readers, and a pot belly stove, just to name a few. Any contribution is greatly appreciated. Soon we will offer the opportunity for the public to participate in a classroom experience of 1911.
*The restoration of the Colusa Bridge Operators House is also nearing completion thanks to donations of time and materials from several generous individuals and businesses. Another piece of history will soon be ready for public viewing.
